Happy Sunday dreamers! For today's Little Treasures, I'll be featuring these art to wear jewelry pieces which I have found over etsy. Their elegance has captured me. Sid Kassidy offers free shipping plus a lifetime warranty. It was a great pleasure meeting Kim and I had a fabulous time interviewing her. Sid Kassidy's story / history is heart-touching and I was really moved by it. No wonder the pieces are so beautiful.

Also, Kim is so nice that she'll be giving away a $30 gift certificate to one lucky reader to use and shop at Sid Kassidy!

But first, let's get to know the story behind this shop...

1. Hello Kim! Why Sid Kassidy? How did you come up with the name?

Sid Kassidy came out of a lot of research, inspiration and a feeling that it was the perfect name to represent my work!

2. Can you please tell us the story behind your shop?

My name is Kim. When I was 9, my mother died mysteriously and it changed the course of my life.

My father loved me with all his heart, but he was older than my mother and it was difficult for him to fill in the void left by her passing. I did not understand his silence and restrictions against the feminine expression and modern times. There was a distance between us… I was overwhelmed by grief. I didn't feel like doing anything other than rocking myself to sleep while watching the rain fall. My grades dropped. I felt empty, repressed, alone and ugly.

It was at that time that the magic touch of my grandmother changed everything. One day, she offered me a gift, a small box containing equipment to make jewelry. Life smiled at me once again! By working with pearls and crystals the little girl inside me found her spark and the momentum she needed to become a woman.

Outfitted and equipped, I traveled the lands of Morocco, the United States and Canada. My creations were showcased in many shops so I decided to perfect my art by taking a course with renowned jeweler Josée Desjardins.

Today mother of lovely kids, I have also found true love in my partner Vincent. We are parents of five! Vincent is a talented visual artist and digital sculptor. Trained as a jeweler, he works with me on the design and production of our silver & pewter jewelry. In addition, he is working on a future collection of precious metals using digital sculpting.

And hence the story of… Sid Kassidy. A small business but also, a family who wants to share with you the gift my grandmother gave me: light a spark that will make you glimmer like a star by wearing magnificent jewels signed Sid Kassidy. Open your jewelry box, embellish your future!

3. Where do you get your inspirations from in making your jewelry?
Mainly from my emotions and feelings and from beauty and femininity.

4. Do you have a favorite piece in the jewelry you've created? or is there a jewelry piece which is the most special to you? and why?

My favorites are my cuff bracelets because they are so fun to make and simply stunning as well as very comfy! For example:

And

Also three necklaces. These two because they are marvelous and real piece of art:

And this one because of its beauty and simplicity:

5. Can you tell us a little something about the process in creating your jewelry?

I rarely design before making but I do have some sketches where I keep ideas when I don't have time to work with metals at the same time. Usually I design while making, its just a flow of what happens inside of me as a woman combined with the fusion of metal and the consciousness of what my customers like and want.

6. What's your message to your buyers, admirers, and to all the young women out there?

My message to buyers and admirers is that I don't only value transactions and business but also and mainly relations, quality, warranty and perfect service. Those pieces are made to last for a life time and I'm always there for custom creation, questions and concerns. To all young woman out there? Be yourself, smile and be beautiful. Because you are! :)
