*****
I love discovering amazing people who can inspire the world and so, I've come up with this weekly feature on my blog so I can share to you people who have touched my life in a way and hopefully, you'll be inspired by their amazing talents as well.

For the first Sunday, allow me to introduce to you this fantastic girl who caught me with her wonderful fashion style on lookbook. A petite girl with rather large dreams, Paige Joanna Calvert is actually one of my favorite bloggers ever! I love her fashion sense, her incredible illustrations, and her personality! She is super nice and seriously very pretty. She is definitely someone to look up too.

I read her blog whenever she has a new post up (yep, I read her blog daily) ! I love the fact that she is a fellow mermaid and she has a gorgeous red hair! And for this first Sunday Spotlight, I am so happy to introduce this fabulous young woman through an interview:

1.Hello Paige, can you please tell us a little about yourself? And what’s your blog about?

Hello! I live in the South of England, I recently graduated (last year) from illustration but am now pursuing a career in fashion. I love making things and love being creative! My blog is mainly personal style but I do love to throw in some creative touches with diy's and youtube videos. My blog (i hope) has a feeling of nostalgia and I don't like taking myself too seriously, I love having fun and experimenting with photography.

2.How would you define your style?
My style is a mixture of on trend, retro, romantic and whimsical :)

3.Whose style do you admire and what are your must-have fashion pieces?
I love Megan from 'pages by megan', Adora Mehitabel blog for her amazing retro style

4.What is your go-to outfit?
My goto work comfy outfit is a pair of daisy hareem trousers and a tshirt, or on days off a pretty dress and denim jacket, in the winter I love tights and cropped jumpers!

5.What are your interests?
I love blogging of course and I spend a lot of time building outfits in my head! I love making things and sewing, whenever I get a chance I am doodling and drawing as well as taking photos. I just love doing creative things.

6. I've seen your illustrations and I really love them! Can you please tell us something about that? Why you like illustrating and when did you start doing it?

I have no idea when I started properly but I was very young! I love drawing, sadly I haven't been as up to date as i would like lately but I still have a huge passion for it and my work is always just meant to be pretty yet hold elements of vintage and nostalgia - much like my blog.

7.Do you have a favorite illustration or one that is very special to you?
I am very proud of my paloma faith illustration as I did it whilst interning at an agency in london. To this date I still am pleased with it.

8.Where do you get your inspirations from?
Most of my inspiration comes from magazines, fashion, trends, catwalk shows, designers, culture. I love keeping up to date and when something inspires me and appeals to me visually I want to then recreate something of my own based on that.

9.If you’re given a chance, where would you like to live and why?
I would love to live in London, preferably on the northern line ;) haha.
I feel like living in London would open so many doors for me and i'd always be in the right place for blog things going on and would mean better career opportunities.

10.What are your simple joys?
I love simple things like that craving for a tea, getting home from work and all the weight coming off your shoulders with that one sip of tea! I love meal out with my boyfriend Chris and I love browsing pinterest before bed and going to bed feeling really inspired and full of thoughts.

11.Your favorite dessert?
It either has to be newyork cheescake OR Eaten Mess!!

12.Do you have a collection? If you do, when did you start collecting it?
I collect old camera, it's an on going thing and I only have a few but I love old 35mm cameras. I also love collecting weird toys, whether they are retro, cute, funny or all of them - I can't get enough. Me and my boyfriend are both as bad as eachother!

13.If you could be a Disney princess, who would you be and why?
UMMM, Ariel... :) Red hair don't care!

14.If you could invite a historical personality to a tea party, who would it be and why?
I would love to bring Audrey Hepburn to a tea party when she was at her career peak, to see what she was like as a person.

15.How do you see yourself in the future?
I see myself working hard and in a job I love if not my own business. I just want to live happily and be close with my family, I would love to be noticed for my blog or illustrations one day.

16.Random facts about you.
This question is funny because I have so many!
I don't like (I'm afraid of) Lady bugs.
I keep hold of anything I think will be usful for crafts and then it will sit in a craft box for years haha.
I am a triplet with 2 sisters and have an older brother as well!

17.What’s your message to all your readers, to the aspiring illustrators, and to everyone around the globe who wants be just like you?

I don't know why anyone would want to be like me, I think I would tell people to embrace themselves, be themselves and not to be afraid of finding themselves and getting things wrong along the way. No ones life is perfect and its all about really appreciating those small pleasures in life, as well as grabbing hold of an opportunity. I do believe in everything happens for a reason but you also have to put in a lot of work and do your best, thats all anyone can do including me. Happiness and aspiring to be anything comes from your own mindset :)
