ART EXHIBIT: OSCAR SALITA- BEYOND WORDS



I finally found the time to blog about this!! :) I love visiting art exhibits because I become aware of how different an artist's style can be. Luckily, my building have weekly exhibits and everybody is welcome to view them! :))












This painting is one of my favorites because of the color scheme. mehe~

Oscar Salita (1943-2012) is considered one of the popular Filipino artists who graduated from the University of Santo Tomas. His faceless artworks are cherished by collectors both in the Philippines and abroad. Salita’s works are very distinctive- his figures and backgrounds speaks of traditional Filipino culture and they are rendered in bold colors and interesting geometry. Salita has enjoyed huge success in his career; his work has reached the US and many prominent cities around the world making him an important and highly prized artist.
